Oil Ver.1 (Studer/Revox) :

  • A-77 / B-77
  • A-80 all
  • A-800 capstan mtrs. with sintered bearings only.
  • All other machines (not including 827 Series)

Oil Ver.2 (Studer) :

  • 827 Series with sintered bearings only. (note: late versions of the 827 employed ball bearings - do not oil! Most 827 capstan motors show a bright orange label indicating lubrication requirements, if any.)
